In plain language

SEO helps people find useful pages through search, using clear answers and sound website structure.

Useful content supports discovery. Search engines decide whether to index a page and where it ranks.

The foundation

What matters in SEO

Discoverable foundations

Crawlable pages, stable URLs, sitemaps, and canonicals help search engines reach your content.

Understandable content

Clear headings, metadata, and internal links explain each page’s purpose.

How to read Lighthouse and Agentic Browsing results

Lighthouse & agentic audit

Five technical targets we engineer for

The four Lighthouse categories and our three-point Agentic Browsing check are illustrative targets—not the result of a real website audit. Hover, focus, or tap a card to see the practices behind each one.

Good

Performance

Estimates how quickly a page renders, responds, and remains visually stable in controlled lab conditions. Results can change with the device, network, and test setup.

Good

Accessibility

Checks detectable issues such as accessible names, contrast, landmarks, labels, and ARIA usage. Manual keyboard and assistive-technology testing is still essential.

Good

Best Practices

Reviews common browser, security, and implementation concerns. It is a useful code-health signal, not a complete quality or security assessment.

Good

SEO

Checks technical basics that help search engines access and understand a page. It does not evaluate every content signal or predict how the page will rank.

Agentic Browsing

Checks whether browser-based AI agents can identify, navigate, and use the page's core actions. This is our own three-point companion audit, not a Lighthouse category.

A score is a clue, not the goal

The four Lighthouse scores and the 3/3 Agentic Browsing check above describe the targets we engineer toward. Lighthouse remains an automated snapshot of one page under one test configuration: it cannot guarantee rankings, replace real-user Core Web Vitals data, or prove that a site is fully accessible. Our Agentic Browsing check is a separate internal measure. We use both alongside human review, production monitoring, and repeated tests under consistent conditions.

How we put it into practice

We plan for SEO from the start and review it as we build.

Shape the information architecture

Give each subject a clear home and connect related pages.

Build the technical foundation

Use accessible HTML, useful metadata, canonical URLs, a sitemap, and valid structured data.

Write for real questions

Explain your service, audience, process, and evidence in plain language.

Review and evolve

Use search performance and visitor behaviour to guide improvements.

Organic and paid discovery

When paid advertising can help

Paid campaigns can complement organic visibility when the audience, purpose, and budget are clear.

A useful boundary

Limits to keep in mind

  • It is not keyword stuffing or repeating every possible search phrase.
  • It is not a one-time checkbox that stays effective without maintenance.
  • It is not a promise that a page will rank first—or be indexed at all.

A concrete example

A local practice page

A local practice page explains its services, location, experience, and booking process. Clear headings and metadata help search engines understand it.
